Welcome to the Blog!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog!    I am very excited to share some of my favourite books and the ones that I am currently reading.    Today I want to share a book that I just recently read to Madame Cantin's grade 2 class.  It is called Jungle Bullies  and the author is Steven Kroll.    I love reading this book as it has a great message about how important it is to share and consider the feelings of others.     The pictures are wonderful and you can really see the change in the jungle characters as they realize that sharing and getting along with each other is far more enjoyable than arguing and excluding.

I found this book particularly relevant to our discussions about snow forts on our yard.   We have done such a good job of sharing our forts and the great snow we have had this year!

Take a look in my office for the copy I have if you'd ever like to read it....or even better....read it to me!

See you soon!

  4. We think that this book is appropriate for our school because this happens relatively often, and it's good for kids to know that it's okay to stand up to bullies.

  5. I would rate this book a 5/10 because it is a bit repetitive but it does have a good moral to stand up for yourself and others.
